About Us
This is an effort by Oswald S. Copeland, and his desire to promote the culture in and around Baltimore Maryland. He was born in the then British Guiana, now Guyana, and entered broadcasting, shortly after becoming a student teacher, at ST. Ambrose Primary School. He did radio documentaries, and was one of the pioneers in the establishment of the Guyana Broadcasting Service (GBS). In addition to being editor and presenter, he created the Saturday Show, SPOTLIGHT, highlighting musical talent found all over that country.
On emigrating to the United States, he freelanced in Philadelphia, Pa., before moving to Maryland, where he joined WSID radio, as an account Executive. He simultaneously worked as an advertising executive for the now defunct PICAYUNE,newspaper in Columbia, Maryland.
He went back to writing for a national publication, EXAMINER, before starting www.Osworldofculture.org, 5 years ago.
He is also owner of www.Osworldinc.com, a skin care company he started in 1993.
