CHORAL ARTS OF BALTIMORE IN CONCERT, DECEMBER 2024

It is commonly uttered, especially in the African American community, when something has had a favorable outcome.

This is December followed by the sometimes-unbridled sensuality of November with THANKSGIVING.

Even though December 25th, is not the official birth date of the Christ, the majority world domination has made CHRISTMAS, the time to give glory to GOD, FOR SENDIDNG HIS ONLY BEGOTTON SON JESUS, in an effort to save the world of us sinful mankind.

Have we made his house, “a den of robbers”? The commerce of the season bespeaks that.

But then, there is the saving grace, the voices of praise, that emit from the recesses of throats and diaphragms to somewhat emulate what is written in the Bible at LUKE 2:13-21, where an army of angels appeared in heaven, singing “GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST HEAVEN, AND PEACE ON EARTH TO THOSE WITH WHOM HE IS PLEASED!”

To hear George Frideric Handel’s MESSIAH is transformational, almost like taking a sputnik ride to the outer universe and watch the glories of creation.

I have always been interested in hearing the choir of the BALTIMORE CHORAL ARTS SOCIETY, but my busy schedule never afforded that, until this year, 2024.

In addition, this choir was enjoined by one of the world’s greatest historical choirs, MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY of Baltimore, Md.

In the end, you might very well say, GLORY TO GOD!
