Making a difference in the show’s presentation is one of three tap dancers. “Baltimore”, sung by Nina in 1978, was not new to music. The city was part of the East Coast tour for African Americans, making a living as musicians. Written by a white man (Randy Newman) with a reggae beat (Jamaican), was originally hated by Nina; yet turned out to be one of her biggest hits! The Arena Players Theatre (Est. 1969) is making the musical NINA, the final act of the season, before returning this Fall (Autumn) 2023. The production is full of surprises, and many who enjoyed, and endured the struggle, will be happy to be in attendance.
