It is one of those plays, that plunges some of us to behave like one-time famous talk show host Arsenio Hall, and silently say, “Huhhhhh”.
This play marked the end of the 2024 season at the Arena Players Baltimore, MD. It carried the name “It’s Showdown Time”.
Not knowing anything beforehand, one may believe in similarities to the movie “Gunfight at the O K Corral”, a musical battle between instrumentalists, even RAP battle!
Instead, it turned out to be about LOVE. Shakespear’s TAMING of THE SHREW, from a black perspective.
