This is not make- believe. On one turntable are the platinum recordings of the internationally acclaimed classical composer Igor Stravinsky. On turntable number two, Kendrick Lamar, rapper(Hip-Hop artist) from Compton California. Igor born 1882, from St. Petersburg Russia; Lamar 1987, Compton, California.

Who would be bold enough to fuse these two innovators, born a century apart, to excite an audience in 2024?
This person has to be familiar with both genres, and to mix them so well that many will come to see and hear!
The DJ (disc jockey) turned out to be STEVE HACKMAN, a classically trained musician, whose intent is to build that bridge between ancient and modern music.

On April 12, 2024, the studio (so to speak) was the concert hall of the Myerhoff, home of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, (turntable 1). On turntable 2, two rappers belting out the lyrics of Kendrick Lamar on cue.
Almost 3,000 of us watched this magic, that few thought were possible.
