The Marie Antoinette, the world is famously aware of, is recorded in history, and associated with the French Revolution of the 1790’s. Former wife of Louis XVI, she had a taste for the exotic, and things sexual. The revolutionaries found her interests abominable, and she became corpse by guillotine.
Baltimore’s Marie Antoinette also has a taste for the exotic; however, she has not abused the coffers of any government treasury, and would not be called a spendthrift; rather she is a hardworking artist. Today she is with some of her friends, displaying their work of art.
I caught up with her in Bethesda Maryland, at a BLACK ARTS COLLECTIVE Exhibition.
