I THINK I CAN

It happens all the time; perhaps going back to high school days, when you were afraid to stand up in class and recite a poem.

For many superstars, their ascent to the pinnacle had to do with overcoming that fear. Some began as backup musicians or singers, before the light bulb found ignition; and as they say, the better part of your history began.

Whoever thought of OPEN MIC, perhaps thought of KARAOKE; even though they are not the same.

In my interest in covering raw culture in and around Baltimore, I went to an open mike venue in Towson MD.
