It is BLACK HISTORY MONTH, 2025, and America is forced to look at what immigrants have done to save the nation.
This time the focus is on YELLOW FEVER.
As the nation was building its population prior to 1776, the 13 colonies were filled with primarily whites from Europe. The general labor came from prisoners of the British Empire.
not as cool as Europe, therefore the prevalence of mosquitoes was new to the residents.
Africans were familiar with the insect and the weather in North America was knew how to cope.
In 1793 a pandemic broke out with the epicenter, being Philadelphia, then the nation’s capital.
Whites were dying by the hundreds. Black men and women were immediately recruited, not only to nurse white patients, but also to bury them, for little or no pay.
A reading of the record got its portrayal on February 21, 2025, at the Ebenezer United Baptist Church, Washington D.C.
