Have you ever considered why Awards are handed out? Have you ever felt left out for not receiving an award?
It is said that Awards play a heavy psychological impact on the recipient.
This Award recognition began at home, where parents rewarded you as a toddler for the manners you displayed; to kindergarten, where you were cheered for the recitation!
As you got older, your friends either cheered or sulked.
Awards bestir competitiveness, which pushes the man/woman to exceed, thus the creation of THE OLYMPIC GAMES, and the various copycats now held in million-dollar stadiums and concert halls.
The best awards come though, when you least expect. Someone, an organization, knows of your work, and without priming you, a nomination is proffered.
I was in attendance at one such occasion last month: THE 2026 STEWARDSHIP AWARDS GALA, with the underlining theme of Faith, Culture & Songs of Gospel.
