The new blockbuster movie, WICKED FOR GOOD, has a subtle inclusion, of which, I do not know how many moviegoers have gasped at, on realization, ELPHABA, played by Cynthia Erivo, is bi-racial.
The WIZARD as portrayed was an alcoholic and had a relationship with Elphaba’s mother. They both loved to party with alcoholic beverages, a staple.
ELPHABA, (still in movie mode here folks) eventually ends up with the captain of the Wizard’s army, another biracial and in-breeding inclusion. Here the princess played by Ariana Grande, who lives in a luxurious castle, loses out to the commoner, who resides in the woods.
As Arsenio Hall, one-time late show television host would say, “hmmnn”. This movie is about INCLUSION, for the allowance of falling in love without consideration of breed or upbringing. These conditions are disruptive to the current political climate in America today.
I could see the Christian Nationals writing letters of condemnation to Universal Studios, about this film concerning its “unholy lifestyle”.
The lessons in WICKED FOR GOOD, should be embraced by the “flock” of leaders, who claim to be in step with “HIM”, who turned water into wine and fed thousands with a few loaves and fishes.
The Jewish High Priest at the time, (Caiaphas) called him “wicked”.
